Hi, I'm Carl Shepherd! 

I created Shepherd Guitars out of a lifelong love of music and woodworking. Having spent many years in bands during my youth, and after numerous wood working and guitar courses; building furniture, and property renovation, it was time to combine everything into the joy of making handmade guitars; becoming a luthier. Wood is a wonderful, natural material, so every guitar will be unique.

Discover unique electric guitars and basses, hand-built from exotic woods. While I maintain a traditional feel—after all, classics are 'classic' for a reason—I incorporate my own 'Shepherd' designs. I prefer to use an oiled, natural wood finish without paint or stains, allowing the beauty of the wood to shine through.
